Comag Sl65 Software Update

Hi there Years ago I had great fun setting up and tinkering with my KAON Setup with motorised dish. However I fried the box few years back. Sometimes it just happens!!!! At the same time I set up an Lidl Special (!!!!) for my parents. Silvercrest SL65, reading around these boxes are hated and now are historic. I dont want to patch the thing to get channels illegally but just want to update the transponders on the hotbird satellite and do a new channel scan as half the channels seem to have disappeared on it!

Comag/Silvercrest SL65 Tuning Issues 19.2. There is a software update to fix it. Phone 50 and speak to James and he will e-mail you the required software update. You will need a serial port on your computer (or a USB-serial adapter) and a null modem cable. But in case it didn't, all I wanted to let you all know is that Wikipedia have some EXCELLANT and VITAL information relating to the Silvercrest SL 65. Anyone who is considering a software update or patch, should take a look before attempting it.;) I hope this helps.

With the Kaon I used to connect the box up via a RS-232 cable. Does anyone know what software package will do the same for the Silvercrest? 3d max gotovie sceni eksterjer. Will comag software work on it? Hopefully somebody knows.

Which is the latest firmware I can run on this receiver (B1 chip)? I've tried Truman EMU 1.4.25b but the softcam keys are to old to be of any use. I tried to update the keys, but it was painful using the remote and I couldn’t find softcam keys in the correct format.

For the life of me I can’t get Comag SL35 & SL65 Patch 28-10-12 to install:-( I’m trying to get this receiver working with Skylink (Slovak) as my usual receiver is dead and the SL65/12 has no card slot for my Skylink ICE card hence I need softcam support:-( I suspect this receiver is just to basic and too old and I should just scrap it and buy another Amiko.
